I know all too well that I've been gone from this site for several months. I apologize. Some health issues, some foreign travel, and some big time total frustration. Finally, I am back and looking forward to the spring sports season of 2013.
The dismal era of Kevin O'Neill is thankfully over at SC. Now Pat Haden can give full attention to finding a suitable and aggressive basketball coach. There are plenty of talented coaches around...SC just needs to take its time and locate the right guy.
As for spring 2013, prospects appear outstanding for the men's tennis and swim teams. Ditto for women's tennis, golf, and swim teams. We'll have to to wait and see what transpires with the baseball team, although there were periods of improvement last year.
Track will be thin in numbers (nothing new there) but with a handful of truly talented people...Bryshon Nellum (granted a full senior year, thank God), Reggie Wyatt, Aaron Brown, Cooper Thompson and two strong hammer throwers. We shall see what we see, but individually, the Trojans appear to be more than capable.
